Bike Blenheim

Last weekend Torico and family rode 100 miles through the Cotswolds for the Bike Blenheim sportive. The route had about 2000 metres of climbing and took in some of the most picturesque countryside that the Cotswolds has to offer. The event was fantastically organised with superb marshalling and more importantly bacon butties available at two rest stops. Loads of roadies and weirdo Brompton fanatics were also present for the Brompton world championships, entry required a posh voice and a nice suit. 600 riders took part including Roberton Heras the disgraced Tour de France cyclist. Slightly differnet from my normal MTB events but no less fun and certainly has made me want to do more sportives.
